Free Proxy Checker

Paste any proxy IP and port. We test it live and show you if it works and how fast it is.

Bulk proxy checker

Paste up to 100 proxies, one per line, and check them all at once.

What does the proxy checker do?

It opens a real connection through the proxy you give it and measures what happens. If the proxy answers, you get its speed in milliseconds. If it does not answer in time, it is marked dead. This is the same live test our own checker runs on every proxy in the free proxy list, now available for any proxy you paste in.

How to use it

  1. Copy a proxy from the proxy list (or anywhere else) in IP:port format, for example 192.0.2.1:8080.
  2. Paste it in the box above and press Check proxy.
  3. Wait a few seconds. Green means alive with its measured speed, red means it did not respond.

What the results mean

Alive means the proxy accepted a connection right now. The latency number tells you how fast it answered. Under 1000 ms is usable for browsing, under 500 ms is good. Dead means it timed out or refused the connection. Free proxies die constantly, so a proxy that fails now might have worked an hour ago, and one that works now might die tonight. Always test right before you rely on one.

Frequently asked questions

Is this proxy checker free?

Yes, completely free with no signup and no limits that matter for normal use.

Which proxy types can it check?

It tests the proxy as HTTP, which is the most common type in our list. SOCKS proxies from the list are checked by our backend on their own schedule.

The proxy was alive yesterday but dead today. Why?

That is normal for free proxies. They are shared by thousands of people, get overloaded, get blocked, or get shut down. This is why every list needs constant re-checking.

Can I check many proxies at once?

Yes. Use the bulk checker below the single checker: paste up to 20 proxies, one per line, and get all results in one go.
